We spent some time in the redesigned Honda Civic hatchback which impressed us more than the already impressive sedan, and enjoyed the new, sharp interior of the refreshed Jeep Compass. GMC introduced its new Sierra 1500 pickup truck, but we’re withholding ratings until we test the latest and greatest updates for all kinds of vehicles.

Honda Civic 2022 review
With mellowed styling, a jazzy interior, and refined ride and handling, the 2022 Civic gets a TCC rating of 6.8 out of 10, before safety is factored into its score. This puts it within reach of the top-rated compacts in our ranking.

Despite an unrefined powertrain, the subcompact crossover’s revised interior with more standard safety and convenience features helps push this year’s TCC rating down to 6.0 out of 10 overall.

While it’s still waiting for the plug-in hybrid variant, the Escape’s turbo powertrain lineup and outstanding safety ratings propel it to a TCC rating of 7.0 out of 10.
2022 Honda Ridgeline review
The 2022 Ridgeline gets a TCC rating of 6.8 out of 10, thanks to its comfortable ride, impressive standard features, and overall utility.
2022 Kia K5 test
A five-seater sedan with a new face and a new name (formerly it was the Optima), the 2022 Kia K5 is particularly good in terms of safety and features. We give the 2022 K5 a TCC rating of 7.3 out of 10.
Ford Ecosport 2022 test
With a TCC rating of 3.5 out of 10, the Ford Ecosport 2022 scores one of the lowest ratings for new vehicles. We won’t miss it when it hits production next year.

The Venue relies on convenience, infotainment and sedan functionality, but its appeal is better retained for the city. He scores a 6.2 out of 10.
