Investors also have access to IPO and Fractional Shares, making it easy to get into a company before its IPO or buy a fractional share belonging to a well-known stock (and potentially costly). Webull currently offers trading in over 5,000 stocks and ETFs and more 30 different kinds of cryptocurrencies.

While active investors will enjoy commission-free trading, they can also open a traditional IRA, Roth or Rollover with Webull, giving themselves the flexibility to manage their retirement funds as well as their stocks in one place.

It is important to note that no mutual funds invest through Webull. While an ETF can still provide the instant investment diversification you seek, those looking for mutual funds can otherwise set up a separate brokerage account with someone like loyalty, Charles Schwab or robo-advisor Improvement.

Characteristics

Webull mainly stands out for its easy-to-use, commission-free trading platform and retirement savings accounts. If you are new to stock trading, there is a useful tool Webull-Blog where in the “education” section you can read about understanding cryptocurrency or the basic 101s of trading.

Compared to Robinhood and other more basic investment apps, WeBull offers more advanced trading indicators, charts, filters, and customization that can be useful for intermediate to advanced traders.

Webull’s The app is available for free download both on the App Store (for iOS), where it has 4.7/5 stars, and on Google Play (for Android), where it has 4.4/5 stars at time of writing this article.

Costs

Webull does not charge commission fees to trade stocks, options, ETFs or cryptos.

At the end of the line

Webbull is a great investment platform, especially if you’re an active trader who wants lots of options, low costs, advanced trading tools, and the ability to save for retirement in one place.

More discreet investors may want to consider investing in mutual funds through the brokers we mentioned above or an automated investing solution. SoFi Invest®, for example, has a robo-advisor option with zero account management fees and no minimum requirements. It offers a wide range of low-cost ETFs and will automatically rebalance your portfolio on a quarterly basis. Read our full SoFi Invest review.
