BISE Malakand announces results of HSSC and SSC exams


TIMERGARA: The Malakand Middle and Secondary Education Council (BISE) announced on Saturday the annual results of the upper secondary certificate and secondary school certificate exams, 2021.

Areesha Ahmed of Dargai Public School and Middle School in Malakand scored 1096 points and took first place in the board’s SSC exam. The second overall position was shared by 10 students, namely Areeba Shams, Alhaj ud Din, Saad Haidar, Sara Zaman, Roohullah, Syed Khalilullah, Parial Ali, Tayyaba Ikram Qazi, Behrooz Khan and Muhammad Idrees, all obtaining 1094 points. The third position was shared by 5 students including Sohaib Muhammad from the government high school Shamshi Khan Talash, Imadud Din, Sana Bibi, Yumna Zahid and Javeria Talib, with 1092 points each.

The board announced 50,000 rupees for the family of Maryam, a student from Maidan Lower Dir who drowned in floodwaters during the exam.

In total, 48,383 students took the final exam, of which 47,340 were declared successful and the result remained at 97.84%.

A total of 7206 students participated in the SSC humanities group, of which 6848 students were declared successful with a score of 95.03%.

In the middle part II, four students Muhammad Ismail, Wasim Hussain, Maaz Ahmad and Muhammad Nawaz each obtained 1076 points and placed first on the table.

Likewise, two students Sawera Gul and Hira Amin from Hira School and College Dargai scored 1074 points and shared the second position.

The 3rd position was shared by seven students including Zari Ashiq, Bilal Ahmad, Faryal Tasneem, Saeedullah, Saba Gul, Riaz ul Haq and Shah Faisal, obtaining 1072 points.

Out of 35,517 candidates for the intermediate exam, part II, 37,731 candidates were declared successful while the result remained at 89.34%. Of the 17,320 candidates for Part II intermediate, pre-medical group, 15,267 candidates were admitted and the result was 18.15%.

In the Intermediate Arts Group of Part II, 14,302 applicants participated, of which 13,565 applicants were successful and the result remained at 94.85%.

The results were announced at a ceremony at a local wedding hall where Provincial Minister of Public Health Shakeel Ahmad was the main guest. The main guest, the board chair, Prof Dr Zameen Gul and the Examiner Prof. Saeed Sani spoke. The incumbents, their parents, school leaders and teachers attended the ceremony.

The toppers received Rs 50,000, the second position holders Rs 45,000 and the third position holders received Rs 40,000 each.
