Class X results in Karnataka, a record 99.99% of students pass the exam
The Karnataka Secondary Education Examination Board (KSEEB) on Monday declared the results of the SSLC or Class X with a record passing rate of 99.99%.
In total, 8 71,443 students took the exam, which took place according to a strict Covid protocol. With a pass percentage of 100, boys do slightly better than girls at 99.99%. The results were announced by the new Minister of Elementary and Secondary Education, BC Nagesh.
The minister said 157 students scored 625/625 points on the SSLC exam. Up to 1,28,931 students obtained an A + grade while 2 50,317 obtained an A grade.
Regarding subjects, 1,796 students obtained 100% marks in mathematics, 910 100% in science and 4,171 students obtained a perfect mark in social studies.

âAll the students who passed the exams passed. A student was not promoted because she took an exam in the wrong center, âsaid the minister.
Last year, a total of 5,82,316 students passed the SSLC exam with a pass rate of 71.8 percent. In 2020, six students had obtained 625/625.
Public schools, assisted schools, and unaided schools achieved a 100 percent pass rate this year. A total of 1,550 schools achieved a 100% pass rate last year, including 501 public schools, 139 assisted and 910 unassisted.
This year, the state government decided to conduct the SSLC exams offline under strict Covid-19 precautions. The exams were held on July 19 and 22 – major subjects one day and languages ââthe other. It was also conducted for the first time in the form of multiple choice questions (MCQ).
Meanwhile, the Minister of Education also announced that schools will reopen for grades IX to XII with precautionary measures from August 23.
