Era Of Examination Malpractice at UTME Over – Oloyede
JAMB Registrar Professor Is-haq O. Oloyede urged candidates taking the Unified Tertiary Enrollment Examination (UMTE) to take their study seriously, saying the era of malpractice during the joint admissions board exam is over.
Speaking at the foundation-laying ceremony for the International Talent Resort (ITRG) in Gbongan, Osun State on Wednesday, Oloyede allayed the fears of parents and applicants over the recent outcry over the bad performance of candidates who participated in UTME 2021 saying it’s just a placement test and not a passing test.
Oloyede explained that JAMB has strengthened its process so that opportunities for review mistakes were blocked.
According to him, the center when completed will serve as a center where academics, especially those hired by the Council for various services related to teaching and administration of tests, will operate, adding that the center will also integrate CBT centers in for use by academics and students from inside and outside Nigeria.
Also speaking, Governor Adegboyega Oyetola, who was represented by the Secretary of the State Government, Prince Wole Oyebamiji, pointed out that the center is another feather added to the many garlands that rightfully characterized Oloyede’s leadership in JAMB.
He assured JAMB an auspicious atmosphere defined by unparalleled tranquility that can facilitate serious intellectual adventure and relaxation, adding that it is one of the states that benefit the most from the country’s electricity supply.
