Dr. Galaviz took the helm as ISD Superintendent of Canutillo in 2013, with the district receiving significant accolades under his leadership, such as obtaining consecutive “A” grades from the Texas Education Agency, the only district from region 19 to do so.
The district official said administrators evaluated the performance of the ISD superintendent of Canutillo, rating his effectiveness in eight areas: leadership; staff management; tax / facility administration and management; student management; professional growth and development; school / community relations; the relationship between the board and the director; and supervisory responsibilities.
