The father, whose children are seven months and six years old, said: “We arrived at the site, cleared a spot and set up the caravan. Within half an hour I knew we weren’t going to have a relaxing stay There were kids flying around on electric scooters and kickstarter balls but that was also the language you heard from them .”

The father-of-two from North Yorkshire said that while the children’s antics during the day made it difficult to relax, once the evening arrived things got much worse.

He added: “Me and my wife are in our thirties, we don’t bother people. We go for a drink and listen to music, but as an adult there comes a time when that has to stop, because there are other people around you. It lasted all night.

“Around half o’clock in the morning, the children were driving, honking their horns and shouting ‘Caravaneers, wake up!’ Then the adults were screaming music and swearing and as they got drunk they seemed more aggressive. It was one of those situations where you don’t want to confront them because it would make things worse.

The family decided to leave a day early because they felt it was “dangerous for the children”. He thought the theme park itself was run quite well, but said Flamingo Land had “lost control” of the camping and caravanning site.

He said: “I think the security that they had wouldn’t dare say anything. They were just young boys, and they probably would have been so upset about it that they thought, ‘Is it worth worth having a good hook? ‘

“They had a little security booth there, but I only saw them once or twice. If I was them, I probably wouldn’t want to say anything to them either.”

Another Tripadvisor reviewer, who also stayed at Flamingo Land over the Easter break, said they saved up “most of the year” for the trip with their family of five. The reviewer wrote: “My four year old ended up with a black eye because they stole his ball and we claimed it.

“They broke the campground faucet, they pooped on the shower floor, they pushed past the queue for the rides, the kids’ language was vile and the parents couldn’t care less. The campground was just left in a disgrace.”
