Mangaluru, September 21: Of the 32 students in Dakshina Kannada district who rejected the second UP result announced earlier by the government and chose to re-write the exam, one failed to take the exam. As a result, his hope for a better result by defying the previous one was dashed.
Out of four PU science graduate students who faced the re-examination in hopes of scoring more points, one failed. The 25 science students who challenged the previous result and faced the exam again, and the three arts students who rejected the previous result passed the exam.
A total of 1,067 students from Dakshina Kannada, including private students and repeaters, took the exam. Only 528 of them passed the exam and posted a result of 49.48% for the district.
Of the 1032 private students, only 494 passed the exam and all three repeaters also passed. Up to 64.45 percent of girls and 39.14 percent of boys passed the exam.
