NSCDC, Immigration, other agents to pass the promotion exam

Interior Minister Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola has ordered the Civil Protection, Corrections, Fire and Immigration Services Board to conduct the next promotion reviews of its officers in the various departments in the states where they operate.

This was contained in a statement signed by the ministry’s deputy director of press, Afonja Ajibola on Tuesday.

Aregbesola, who gave the directive during an inspection visit to the Abuja exam centre, said overcrowded exam centers can damage the integrity of an exam.

The statement reads in part “Aregbesola observed that reviewing in such a crowded environment does not provide the necessary integrity that reviews should have.

“He therefore ordered the secretary of the council, Hajiya Aisha Rufa’i, to henceforth conduct promotion examinations in various states of the Federation.

“The minister added that since there are CBT centers in the states which could be used for the exam, this would go a long way in ensuring a seamless conduct of the exams in the respective states.

“The minister commended the board for achieving the feat of conducting a CBT review, which added relevant credibility to the process.”
