Preliminary civil service exam in 25 centers today
The preliminary examination of the Union Civil Service Commission will take place on Sunday at 25 centers in the district. A meeting to review the modalities of the review was held at the Collectorate on Saturday.
A statement said that Tamil Nadu Skill Development Corporation General Manager G. Prakash, the District Observer for the review, held a meeting attended by Collector GS Sameeran, District Revenue Officer PS Leela Alex, Deputy Police Commissioner Uma, Sub-Collector. , Pollachi, Thakare Subham Dnyandeorao and others.
The statement said 10,955 candidates chose to take the exam. The administration had deployed eight assistant coordinators at the rank of assistant collectors, 25 exam supervisors at the rank of tahsildars at one of each center, 46 assistant supervisors and 931 room supervisors.
All officials would work under the authority of the coordination supervisor, the district collector.
Police would deploy enough staff to examination centers, where cell phone jammers were in place. The administration had asked Tangedco to ensure uninterrupted power supply to the centers and the Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation to run buses to the centers from Ukkadam, Kavundampalayam, Singanallur, Sulur and Pollachi.
Applicants would do well to show up by 8:30 a.m. for the morning session and by 1:30 p.m. for the afternoon session with their electronic admission card, the statement said and called on them to follow all guidelines given by the Commission.
In addition, they should also wear a mask and maintain a physical distance, the statement added.
