SUPER BOWL BAD BEATS BLOG: Follow the Bengals-Rams bets

Welcome to Super Bowl Sunday.

The Los Angeles Rams are 4½-point favorites against the Cincinnati Bengals in Super Bowl LVI, being played at Rams Stadium in Inglewood, Calif.

Join us throughout the day as we update all the action for the big game. We will be tracking as much as we can the over a thousand prop bets available, as well as live line movement on the game and anything that pops up.

7:20 p.m.: That’s it. Thanks for reading the whole season. We will be back for March Madness.

7:17 p.m.: Rams receiver Cooper Kupp wins the MVP at 6-1. He went under most of his prop totals — 8½ receptions (8), 107½ receiving yards (92), longest reception 31½ yards (22) — but scored two touchdowns, including the game-winner. He also had a fourth down in last practice which cashed in a prop he will have a +130 rush attempt.

7:01 p.m.: FINAL: Rams 23, Bengals 20. The Bengals cover as 4½-point underdogs, but the Rams score a TD with 1:25 left to win at -200 ML. The game remains under 48½.

6:54 p.m.: Kupp was +330 to score two or more touchdowns.

6:53 p.m.: The Rams lead. Kupp catches a 1-yard TD pass and the Rams lead 23-20 with 1:25 left in the fourth quarter. The Rams are at -320 on the direct line (Bengals +240).

6:45 p.m.: Two minute warning. The Rams have the first goal at 8 with 1:55 to go and are -176 on the live line (Bengals +140).

6:35 p.m.: Under bettors love it. The Bengals punt and the Rams have the ball at their 21 with 6:13 left. The Bengals are at -172 on the live line (Rams +136).

6:26 p.m.: The Rams punted with 9:58 left in the fourth quarter. Bengals are -176 on the live line (Rams +140), gap -3½, total 43½.

6:21 p.m.: The Bengals punted and the Rams have the ball at their 35 with 11:29 left in the fourth quarter. Bengals are -116 on the live line (Rams -108), total 46½.

6:16 p.m.: The Rams punt and the Bengals have the ball at their 16 with 14:05 left in the fourth quarter.

6:12 p.m.: Live line to fourth quarter: Bengals -114 / Rams -110.

5:44 p.m.: The Rams hold the Bengals to the basket. Evan McPherson hits a 38-yarder and the Bengals extend their lead to 20-13 with 10:15 left in the third quarter. Bengals are -166 on the live line (Rams +132), gap -3½, total 53½.

5:36 p.m.: The Rams implode. Stafford throws a second interception and the Bengals have the ball right away. Over 1½ interceptions conceded.

5:35 p.m.: Higgins was 10-1 in scoring two or more touchdowns. Longest TD on 41½ yards cashes.

5:34 p.m.: The Bengals lead in a flash. Tee Higgins catches a 75-yard TD pass and the Bengals lead 17-13 with 14:48 left in the third quarter. Bengals are -135 on the live line (Rams +108), gap -1½, total 53½.

4:45 p.m.: Stafford throws an interception on a deep ball in the end zone with 2:00 left in the second quarter. He had -160 to throw a pickaxe.

4:33 p.m.: Higgins was +190 to score a TD. More than 2½ players will attempt a cash pass at +130.

4:32 p.m.: The Bengals pull off a sleight of hand. Tee Higgins catches a 6-yard touchdown on a pass from running back Joe Mixon, and the Bengals cut the Rams’ lead to 13-10 with 5:47 left in the second quarter. Rams are -260 on the live line (Bengals +200), gap -5½, total 52½.

4:22 p.m.: Kupp was at -170 to score a TD. Stafford hits over 1½ TD passes at -240.

4:21 p.m.: The Rams roll. Cooper Kupp catches an 11-yard TD pass, and the Rams extend their lead to 13-3 with 12:51 left in the second quarter (the extra run try fails on a bad snap). Rams are -500 on the live line (Bengals +350), gap -9½, total 50½.

4:13 p.m.: Live line after the first quarter: Rams -290/Bengals +220, gap -6½, total 47½.

4:12 p.m.: FIRST QUARTER END: Rams 7, Bengals 3. First Quarter Winners: Rams -½ (+100), over 9½, Rams -150 ML.

4:10 p.m.: The Bengals get a long pass to Ja’Marr Chase but settle for a 29-yard field goal. The Rams lead 7-3 with 28 seconds left in the first quarter.

4:04 p.m.: The Rams clear with 2:09 left in the first quarter and are -340 on the live line (Bengals +255), -7½ spread, total 45½.

3:58 p.m.: The Bengals are tied with 4:48 left in the first quarter. The Rams are -450 on the live line (Rams +320), spread -8½, total 48½.

3:53 p.m.: The Rams score first at -130. The first score will be a cash TD at -160.

3:52 p.m.: Beckham was 7-1 to score the first TD and +115 to score anytime.

3:51 p.m.: The Rams score first. Odell Beckham Jr. catches a 17-yard TD pass and the Rams lead 7-0 with 6:22 left in the first quarter. Rams are -365 on the live line (Bengals +270), gap -7½, total 48½.

3:50 p.m.: All props without an early score cash in: not in the first 3½ minutes (-550), the first 4½ minutes (-340), the first 5½ minutes (-150) and the first 7½ minutes (+155).

3:48 p.m.: Matthew Stafford rushes seven meters and so far exceeds his total of 5½ props on the ground and collects his longest run on 5½.

3:44 p.m.: The Bengals fail on fourth down at the Rams 49 with 9:57 left in the first quarter. Rams are -235 on the live line (Bengals +182), spread -5½, total 46½.

3:42 p.m.: Joe Burrow’s first pass ended at -220. Tyler Boyd’s first reception goes under 8½ yards (8).

3:38 p.m.: The Rams pick one up first, then a punt. The Bengals have the ball at their 42 with 11:54 left in the first quarter. Rams are -166 on the live line (Bengals +132), gap -3½, total 47½.

3:36 p.m.: Matthew Stafford’s first pass ended at -210. Cam Akers’ first reception exceeds 5½ yards (7).

3:35 p.m.: The game is in progress. The Rams receive.

3:29 p.m.: We have our first winners. The toss is heads, the Bengals won the toss, and the Rams called the toss incorrectly. Additionally, the Bengals deferred their second-half option at -675 to BetMGM.

3:25 p.m.: The game is about to start:

2:55 p.m.: The consensus line is Rams -4½, with the Golden Nugget and South Point at Rams -4. The total is split between 49 and 48½, with the Golden Nugget and Resorts World at 48.

2:45 p.m.: The big bets have been pouring in on the Super Bowl, led by Houston furniture store owner Jim “Mattress Mack” McIngvale, who has a total of $9.5 million to win $16.2 million on the Bengals for win the match at +170 on the money line.

The same punter made three $1 million bets at the Bellagio on Saturday night.
