Telangana IPS agents supervise 131 successful candidates in the civil service

A senior IPS officer stationed in Telangana mentored 131 candidates to pass the civil service exam. Rachakonda Police Commissioner Mahesh M Bhagwat along with officials and educators mentored these candidates for the Union Civil Service Commission (UPSC) 2020 exam.

Congratulating the candidates, Bhagwat advised them to render administrative services user-friendly and to work with honesty, sense of ownership, according to a statement released on Sunday.

Interviews were last postponed due to the Covid-19 pandemic, so applicants were trained online by Bhagwat and others, the statement added.

The results of the coveted exam were released on Friday, which saw 545 men and 216 women pass the test. Shubham Kumar from Bihar and Jagrati Awasthi from Madhya Pradesh obtained first and second ranks respectively in the civil service exam.

Ankita Jain reached the third rank, Ria Dabi, who is the sister of the top civil service exam candidate of 2015, Tina Dabi, got the 15th rank in the exam.

The Civil Service Examination is conducted by the Union Civil Service Commission (UPSC) in three stages – preliminary, main and interview – to select officers from the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service ( IFS) and the Indian Police Service (IPS), among others.

Congratulating the successful candidates, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said they will occupy key administrative positions during an important period of India’s trip.

He also sent his best wishes to the candidates who failed to pass the UPSC exam and said that India is full of diverse opportunities to explore.
