Tripura announces an assessment system for students in grades 10, 12



Agartala: The Tripura government announced the assessment process for students in grades 10 and 12 after a high-level committee meeting held on Monday.

Board exams were canceled on June 19 due to the current COVID-19 situation and suggestions made by health experts and concerns raised by parents.

A meeting of the National Education Review Committee chaired by Education Minister Ratan Lal Nath echoed the recommendation of an expert committee to give grades to high school and upper secondary applicants.

The education department has prepared an evaluation process on the recommendation of the expert committee to give grades to the students.

Heads of all upper and upper secondary schools were tasked with collecting information from secondary and upper secondary students and forwarding it to the Tripura Secondary Education Council within a week.

In the case of secondary students (Madhyamik), the school inspector and in the case of upper secondary students, the district education officer should check the grades.

According to the recommendation, the marks obtained in the annual examination of class 9 for secondary school applicants, the subject in which it was possible to take the examination for the pre-admission examination in class 12 and the marks obtained for internal assessment in Class 10 of the 2020-21 academic year must be declared to TBSE.

Likewise, for upper secondary students, the grades obtained in theory at the annual class 11 exam, the grades obtained in the subject at the class 12 admission exam and the grades obtained at the internal assessment. of school in class 11 in the academic year 2020-21 are to be transmitted to the TBSE.

Principals of all schools have been instructed to collect the grades by June 28 and send them to the boards.

The board will review all the numbers and announce the candidates’ results on July 31.

However, if a candidate is unhappy with the results, the TBSE will give them the option to take the exam once the coronavirus situation returns to normal. In this case, the number obtained during this exam will be considered final.
