Udupi MLA will arrange free education for two students who scored 625 in SSLC exam

: Udupi MLA K. Raghupathi Bhat said on Friday that he would arrange to sponsor the free education of two Udupi students who achieved the 625 points in the SSLC exam this year.

The female students – Punith Naika from Malpe Government Pre University College and Gayathri from Government Pre University College for Girls, Udupi – will receive free education at a private educational institute for two years (pre-university education).

They will also benefit from sponsored free education to sit for the Common Entrance Test (CET) and the National Eligibility and Entrance Test (NEET), he said. The MP visited the homes of two students and congratulated them in the presence of their family members.

Mr. Naika is the son of Kallappa and Lalitha of Kalmadi and Gayathri is the daughter of Prakash Devadiga and Vasanthi of Kunjibettu.

Meanwhile, Udupi district administration on Friday congratulated four students including Mr Naik and Ms Gayathri from the district who had achieved 625 points.

The other two students were Nisha from Government High School, Kalavara and Akshatha from Sandeepana English Medium School, Kirimanjeshwara-Baindoor.

Speaking on the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner of Udupi, Mr. Kurma Rao, urged the students to strive hard and continuously to achieve their goals in life. The Deputy Commissioner asked the students to visit the libraries and continue to learn a constant process. Udupi had a full-fledged digital library and students should make use of it, he said.

The general manager of Udupi Zilla Panchayat, Prasanna, was present.
